Award-winning director Stacy Peralta presents Made in America, a powerful story of violence, struggle and ultimately hope - told by first hand witnesses of the devastating gang culture that has plagued Los Angeles for decades. Peralta uses rare historic footage and present day interviews to shed light on a topic that impacts the state on social, political and economic levels.
Garth Trinidad, music supervisor of the film and DJ of KCRW, will be opening the evening spinning music from the film.
Presented in partnership with the Los Angeles Film Festival.
