Aleida Rodríguez

Aleida Rodríguez is a poet, essayist, and artist born in Cuba. Her first book, Garden of Exile, won the Kathryn A. Morton Prize and PEN Center USA Literary Award and was chosen Best Book by the San Francisco Chronicle. Published, awarded, and critically acclaimed continuously since 1974, she has the distinction of being the first woman to publish a literary magazine and press in Los Angeles history: rara avis/Books of a Feather.
