At Grand Performances, the guidance and support provided by our Board of Directors is instrumental in upholding our mission to offer free access to global performing arts. That's why we are thrilled to introduce four exceptional new members joining our Board: Lorenza Muñoz, Jordan Gadd, Fabiola Torres, and Michael Centeno. Each brings a wealth of expertise, passion, and fresh perspectives that will undoubtedly strengthen our organization as we strive to create transformative arts experiences for all Angelenos.
Lorenza Muñoz, a trailblazing leader in entertainment, communications, and journalism, is renowned for building successful strategies that achieve an organization's vision. From her work at Amazon Studios and the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences to her impactful journalism at the LA Times, Lorenza's collaborative leadership and advocacy for inclusive storytelling perfectly align with our goals of amplifying diverse voices.
Jordan Gadd, Chief of Staff at Heluna Health, brings over 15 years of executive experience across non-profits, public health, and higher education. His expertise in strategy execution, government relations, and board governance will be crucial as we navigate sustainable growth and forge new community partnerships to expand our reach and impact.
Fabiola Torres, born and raised in Los Angeles, is a full-time professor of Ethnic Studies at Glendale Community College. Fabi is nationally recognized for her dedication to innovation, and equity-minded teaching practices in higher education. Additionally, she has been an active participant with the vibrant dance familia at Grand Performances since day 1. As she says, “Grand Performances raised me.”
Michael Centeno, a retirement operation executive at the Motion Picture Industry Pension and Health Plans, is not only a savvy non-profit leader but a true music aficionado. His world-class customer service approach and over two decades of volunteer board experience with prominent LA organizations will help shape our audience experience and community engagement.
We are immensely grateful for their commitment and service. Their guidance will be invaluable as we work to remove barriers, spark community connections, and celebrate the kaleidoscope of creativity that makes Los Angeles shine so brightly.
