Underground Parking
Parking is available at the California Plaza Parking Structure, which you can access from Lower Grand Avenue off 4th Street or Olive Street.

A special event parking rate of $10 cash or $15 credit card is available 60 minutes before listed show times.

Seating is open and filled on a first come, first-served basis.

Disabled seating is available on the Lower Plaza.

Second floor seating area can be accessed by stairs, elevator, or ramp. The elevator is located on the main plaza floor next to Starbucks. Ramp access is off of Grand Ave.

Blankets and low-backed chairs are welcome as long as they don’t block designated walking, dancing or wheelchair areas.

Reserved seats in the VIP Balcony are available by becoming a Grand Performances member.

Please do not leave any items or bags unattended, as they will be confiscated.

Amenities + FAQS

  • Pack a picnic from home with food and drinks to enjoy at Grand Performances! Or grab a bite to-go from a range of delicious local restaurants.

    We offer soft drinks and light snacks (chips, crackers, cookies, etc…) for sale at our black info booth. Cash and card accepted. All proceeds go to support our programming.

    An on-site bar will be set up on select evenings, but please leave your personal alcoholic beverages at home. Please consume responsibly, and refer to posted signs on the plaza for restrictions.

    For the safety of those around you, no glassware on the plaza is allowed, and please leave glassware at home.

    There is no alcohol or smoking allowed on California Plaza.

    Public restrooms are available.

  • Audience capacity is 7,000 people spread out on the Upper and Lower Plaza. There are 350 amphitheater seats, and dozens of benches across the balcony of the Upper Plaza.

  • While service dogs are welcome at California Plaza, we kindly ask that you keep your dogs, cats, and all other pets at home.

event policies

The venue opens one hour prior to performance. Grand Performances reserves the right to hold seating areas at its discretion. Reserved seating areas are for donors who make our programming possible.

By entering California Plaza, each person consents that Grand Performances may photograph, film, videotape, record, or otherwise reproduce the image and/or voice of such person and use the same for any purpose whatsoever without any payment or liability to such person.

Please keep designated areas clear at all times.

Please use plastic, paper or aluminum containers for food and beverages. No outside alcohol is permitted on California Plaza. Alcoholic beverages may be purchased at the on-site bar for specific events.

All events are non-smoking and non-vaping. If you wish to smoke, please move away from seating areas. Please use trash cans to dispose of cigarette butts.

Please silence your cell phones during the performances. Please move away from the seating areas to make phone calls.

While service dogs are welcome at California Plaza dogs, all other pets are not allowed at performances. The ADA defines service animals as dogs that are individually trained to do work or perform tasks for people with disabilities. The work or task a dog has been trained to provide must be directly related to the person’s disability. Dogs whose sole function is to provide comfort or emotional support do not qualify as service animals under the ADA.

Unauthorized use of recording equipment and flash equipment of any kind during any performance is prohibited.

For both safety and to protect the property, no bicycles are to be chained to any structure, railing, tree or other property not intended for securing bicycles. There are bicycle racks in the garage on the P2 level of Cal1 and on the sidewalk for public use. Please no bicycle riding on property.
