Grand Performances is honored to host DEEP’s prestigious 25th Anniversary. For an entire generation, legions of music lovers have gathered to dance in freedom at LA’s longest-running house music event. Their scene is unlike any other in the city: freestyle dancers break it down along with bohemian revelers in carefree circles across the dance floor. From the old to the young, gay, straight and otherwise, a sense of unity threads together this patchwork of individual expression through music. Yes, this is so much more than a night at a dance club. This is DEEP.
We’re also hosting a donation drive with Music Changing Lives at this show. Bring art supplies, used drums, or hygiene kit items to earn a VIP upgrade with complimentary beer, cocktails and snacks. Details below!

Marques Wyatt
Marques Wyatt is a pioneering DJ, producer, and cultural icon who helped put Los Angeles on the global dance music map. As the founder of DEEP LA, his legendary events have welcomed the world’s top talent—from Frankie Knuckles to Black Coffee—and created a spiritual home for house music lovers in L.A. and beyond.
With a career spanning four decades, Marques has played everywhere from Coachella and Burning Man to Ministry of Sound and Sound Factory Bar, earning acclaim for his deep, soulful sets and genre-defying sound. His production work includes releases on Om, King Street, and Nervous, including the fan-favorite “For Those Who Like to Get Down.”
A longtime yogi, Marques also co-created Deep Exhale, a music and wellness experience blending vinyasa flow with ecstatic dance. Whether in the club or on the mat, Marques Wyatt delivers more than music—he offers connection, upliftment, and joy.
QVLN (Q-Violin)
Quetzal Guerrero, also known as QVLN (Q-Violin), emerges as a dynamic force within the realms of music, acting, and composition, ceaselessly pushing the boundaries of genre exploration and evolution. From the tender years of his childhood, Quetzal has immersed himself in a kaleidoscope of cultures, traversing continents to glean inspiration and mastery from diverse musical traditions.
Big Cee
A foundational force in Los Angeles’ house music community, Big Cee is the longtime resident opening DJ at the iconic DEEP Los Angeles events, where he’s set the tone for legends such as Marques Wyatt (Deep-LA CrEatOr) Miguel Migs, Mark Farina, Louie Vega, Frankie Knuckles, Lil Louis, Roy Davis Jr., The Martinez Brothers, and more — a true who’s who of global house music royalty.
Beyond DEEP, Big Cee has been a trusted selector for Doc Martin’s Sublevel, a core contributor and eight-time DJ / co-creator at Lightning in a Bottle, and a staple at international stages from Amsterdam to Italy, not to mention numerous WMC parties in Miami’s South Beach.
Despite his global reach, Big Cee’s heart remains in Los Angeles, where every set reflects a deep love for community, culture, and connection.
Music Changing Lives Donation Drive
Grand Performances is proud to team up with Music Changing Lives, a wonderful local nonprofit that is dedicated to teaching music & art to at-risk youth in Southern California. They operate successful after-school programs throughout the Inland Empire. Additionally, they provide mutual aid to help families struggling with poverty. Most recently, they’ve been helping those impacted by this past January’s wildfires.
On Saturday, August 16th - at our DEEP 25th Anniversary Party - we’d like to help them gather more art supplies, hygiene kit items, and (if you happen to have any) used drums. See details in the flyer below…
In return, Grand Performances will give donation drive participants the VIP treatment, which includes:
Validated Parking - Upon entering our parking structure at 351 S Olive Street, just tell our parking attendants that you’ll be validated instead of paying in advance. Then take your parking stub from the gate machine up with you to the plaza for us to validate ($10 value).
VIP Viewing Area - You’ll gain access to an exclusive viewing area on the upper stage, directly behind the DJs and bands.
Complimentary Beer, Cocktails & Snacks - Waiting for you in the VIP Viewing Area, courtesy of Angel City Brewery and Hello Stranger.
This program is made possible in part by funding from the Los Angeles Department of Cultural Affairs, and community partners Fusicology and Yelp.
