2026 BLOOMBERG ARTS INTERNSHIP - Social Media Intern

(Internship is 8-weeks long starting June 15-August 7)

DESCRIPTION:

The Social Media Intern will focus on AUDIENCE ENGAGEMENT for Grand Performances’ 2026 summer programming season at California Plaza in Downtown Los Angeles. In this position, the intern will: 

  • Conduct research on and outreach to local social media influencers to promote GP’s 40th Anniversary Summer Season program

  • Utilize a Social Media Platform, specifically Facebook Groups, to increase online engagement with GP’s new and existing audiences

  • Interview audience members, artists, partners, and vendors at the performances

  • Collaborate with the Video Content Intern to develop a mini vlog series for GP’s Social Media Platforms, including filming and editing videos for the series

  • Identify TikTok trends in order to create relevant and timely content

  • Measure and report the results of the Audience Engagement initiatives

  • Share ideas, recommendations, and best practices to increase Audience Engagement

  • Participate in brainstorming sessions with the Marketing Team

QUALIFICATIONS:

Must be a rising public high school senior - Available to work evenings and weekends at performances -

Social Media experience: Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, Facebook, and X.

Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, CapCut and Canva strongly encouraged.

Willingness to receive feedback and take direction.

Must reside in and currently attend a public high school in LA County Service Planning Area (SPA) 4: Metro Los Angeles. Look up your SPA here.

Additional Notes:

  • Students must posses a work permit

  • Internship is 8-weeks long starting June 15-August 7.

  • Students will work 15 hours per week.

PAY RATE: $27.81 / HOUR

2026 BLOOMBERG ARTS INTERNSHIP - Video Content Intern

(Internship is 8-weeks long starting June 15-August 7)

DESCRIPTION:

  • The Video Content Intern will focus on CONTENT CREATION for Grand Performances’ 2026 summer programming season at California Plaza in Downtown Los Angeles. In this position, the intern will:

  • Create video content in alignment with the 40th Anniversary Summer Season content strategy, strategizing how to bring the content to life during- and post-season

  • Select and chop video clips from full performance recordings for use on GP’s Social Media platforms

  • Resize video content vertically and horizontally for GP’s Social Media platforms and in-person concert digital technology (TV screens, video wall, vertical LED columns) 

  • Collaborate with the Social Media Intern to develop a mini vlog series for GP’s Social Media Platforms, including filming and editing videos for the series

  • Schedule video content uploads to GP’s Social Media platforms

  • Share ideas, recommendations, and best practices to increase digital engagement with video content

  • Participate in brainstorming sessions with the Marketing Team


QUALIFICATIONS:

Must be a rising public high school senior - Available to work evenings and weekends at performances.

Interest in content creation, video filming and editing, vlogging, creating original content.

Experience using video editing software such as Adobe Premiere or CapCut strongly encouraged.

Willingness to receive feedback and take direction.
